Welcome to the new site!
Welcome to our Physical education class in the wonderful gym at Village Elementary School. We have a very busy and exciting year in store for us!!! Before I give you a short preview of some of the areas to be covered during the course of this year, let me first introduce myself. My name is Scott Walgamotte. This is my eleventh year at Village Elementary. I consider myself very fortunate to be blessed with such a great school, community, and faculty. I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience in the classroom. Physical activity education in school physical education programs is the cornerstone of an active lifestyle for all students. This year your child will continue to learn new movement skills and concepts to form the foundation for a lifetime of physical education. School programs provide the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that facilitate choosing physical activity after school, at home and in the community. This school year I would like to invite you to visit our physical education class. You will see children participating in developmentally appropriate activities that will help increase their physical competence, self-esteem, and joy of being physically active regardless what their physical abilities may be. By enhancing your children’s physical activity education, I am certain we will be able to help your children enjoy a lifetime of physical activity and good health. I welcome your support! My door is always open if there are any questions regarding this year or over the content to be covered. If you would like to contact me, I can be reached via e-mail at [email protected]. I am looking forward to a great year with your son or daughter. Sincerely, Scott Walgamotte |
Hello all! I am so happy to be back in Round Lake! I was a PE teacher at Indian Hill Elementary School 2 years ago and was at Hillcrest Elementary in Antioch last year, and am fortunate enough now this year to not only be back in Round Lake, but at two schools! I am currently teaching three days at Indian Hill Elementary School and two at Village Elementary School. I could not be happier to be back and work at two schools in the district. I am looking forward to an exciting year! This will be my third year being a PE teacher after graduating from Northern Illinois University in December of 2016. I am so excited to meet all of the students and help them grow into the best person they can be! My door is always open, so please feel free to come see me or contact me! Due to being at two schools, the best way to get ahold of me is by email at [email protected].
Thank you and have a great year! |
